Professional Experience
Corey Morgenstern litigates general liability actions, including personal injury and property damage cases, premises liability and construction defect claims, contract disputes, and trucking accidents. His work includes all aspects of these cases from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings and motions, attending depositions, performing legal research, attending hearings and mediations, and preparing for trial. Corey also advises clients on fraud-based insurance coverage matters and investigates and litigates Jewelers Block policy disputes.
Prior to joining WCM, Corey worked in the New York office of a full-service national firm, where he handled matrimonial matters, and with a boutique litigation firm. During law school, he also clerked for the Honorable Sondra Pardes of the Nassau County Supreme Court.
Select Representations
- Successfully tendered indemnification and defense of claims pursuant to contractual obligations for claims made against our clients.
- Secured summary judgment for contractual indemnification for a homeowner as against a general contractor performing work on their property.
- Secured a voluntary dismissal in a subrogation action seeking over $600,000 by establishing the homeowner did not have control over the cause of a leak.
- Secured summary judgment by establishing the lack of a defective condition.
