Professional Experience
Raymond Gonzalez litigates a range of labor law, premises liability and general liability claims; in particular, negligence and workers’ compensation law claims, including individual plaintiff suits and insurance subrogation actions. Raymond handles all aspects of these cases, from inception to resolution, including conducting claims investigations; analyzing financial records and general liability insurance policy coverage and endorsements; managing complex discovery; arguing motions and handling hearings in New York state and federal courts; and conducting multiple-party settlement negotiations.
Raymond brings more than 15 years of legal, employment management and business experience to his work, including as a paralegal for a number of years. He has significant experience in commercial transaction and bankruptcy litigation. Prior to joining WCM, he worked as a law clerk for house counsel to a national insurance corporation, assisting on the handling of liability and no-fault actions.

- Secured summary judgment decisions in state and district courts on premises liability claims, arguing lack of constructive notice of the alleged defect.
- Secured dispositive motion decisions on claims pursuant to the New York Dram Shop Act, arguing the applicable standard of liability for serving alcohol to a visibly intoxicated patron.
- Successfully tendered indemnification and defense of claims pursuant to contractual obligations for claims made against our clients
- Argued successfully before the First Department Appellate Division on the legal obligations of property owners for duty to clean and monitor easements.
- Successfully defended subrogation claims made by insurance companies against our client for claims of accidents arising from our client’s work product.
